That’s unexpected. If it’s DNS-Only, and still broken, I’d suggest you reach out to GoDaddy and ask for their help. There’s nothing else you’ll be able to do if it’s broken when you point directly at the IP address they provided you.
Unless…they updated your IP in your account, and you’ll have to check your DNS settings there to see if you need to update what you have here.
Error 1000 Ray ID: 8bd01e938cc62f8c • 2024-09-02 20:06:14 UTC DNS points to prohibited IP What happened? You’ve requested a page on a website (món.org) that is on the Cloudflare network. Unfortunately, it is resolving to an IP address that is creating a conflict within Cloudflare’s system. What can I do? If you are the owner of this website: you should login to Cloudflare and change the DNS A records for món.org to resolve to a different IP address.
What is the issue you’re encountering
We are experiencing an Error 1000 on our website, which has made it completely inaccessible. No changes were made to our Cloudflare or GoDaddy settings by anyone on our team that could have caused this issue. Our website is hosted on a GoDaddy account, and our server names are correctly pointed to Cloudflare.
What feature, service or problem is this related to?
DNS not responding/updating
What are the steps to reproduce the issue?
This problem started a few hours ago, and we have been unable to resolve it on our own. We attempted to update the IP address on Cloudflare to match the ones displayed in our GoDaddy account, but the site is still not working. It appears that the IP address shown in GoDaddy is actually the Cloudflare IP address, which may be contributing to the issue. I have reached out to GoDaddy support, and they have advised us to contact Cloudflare support for further assistance. We would greatly appreciate any help or guidance in resolving this matter.
Just to add a bit more context, our website was not working so we switched our SSL setting from Flexible to Full and then the error 1000 appeared, and we’ve also tried disabling the proxy on the DNS records, hoping it would help, but no luck so far. The IP showing in GoDaddy is Cloudflare’s, which seems to be part of the conflict.
GoDaddy says everything looks fine on their end, and they think it’s a Cloudflare issue, but we’re stuck and not sure what else to try. Any tips or ideas on what could be causing this Error 1000 would be super helpful.
Would you recommend any other combinations between the DNS and SSL?
I am also receiving the same error on my website. It was redirecting and GoDaddy told me to update my IP (looks like my IP may have changed?). I am now receiving Error 1000 and Godaddy not willing to help
Ah ok. I’m not hopeful then as they’re useless with this kind of thing. You’re suggesting here that GoDaddy has a team that deals with Cloudflare, can you elaborate please?
