Erro 525 - SSL Handshake Failed

Hello,

I’m from Brazil, I’ve been using Cloudflare + Locaweb with Cpanel for over 1 year.

Last Friday 29/09 I started getting the error: ssl handshake failed 525

I contacted my host and they told me that everything is fine on their side, including my SSL certificate is valid and with AutoSSL in Cpanel.

When I see that the 525 error has started to appear, I go to Cloudflare and pause the service and everything works again.

In Cloudflare in SSL/TLS I am using the “Full” option, if I change it to “Flexible” the site is still inaccessible with another unknown error.

Can anyone help me solve this problem?

I see you have a new SSL certificate issued by cPanel on the 30th of September. So perhaps the previous certificate had expired after all?

You currently have a proper CA-issued certificate at the origin. Change your Cloudflare SSL/TLS setting to FULL (Strict). You should not have the problem again when you turn Proxy (:orange:) back on.
