Emails are coming back problem with Name server


All emails that my team is sending are coming back. We are receiving this message:

“Delivery has failed to these recipients or groups”

We contacted our host email provider, GoDaddy, and we were told the problem was “invalid DNS entries”.
The bigger problem is that they (GoDaddy) can not do anything because our nameservers are with Cloudflare: serenity(dot)ns(dot)Cloudflare(dot)com vick(dot)ns(dot)Cloudflare(dot)com

They sent a step-by-step to but I have no idea how to execute it.


First thing you need to do is figure out what the DNS settings that you need from GoDaddy. Then go to the DNS section and create the records that you need. Then it should all work.

Locate the CNAMEs and set the following:

Locate the TXTT and set the following:

The thing is… according to Cloudflare support I need to do this first:

This means you are not using Cloudflare yet, and Cloudflare is not causing the issue you are experiencing with your email.

Regarding your email issue, I would recommend you to contact you email provider, since it seems to be a mail server issue.

If you would like to use Cloudflare, please change your name servers and to and, but please keep in mind that this is not related with the issue you are experiencing with your email.

Regarding your email configuration, please check with your email service provider to determine the correct record values for your mail service. Also, you could use one of these third-party record validators for further clues:

Are you 100% sure If I change the name servers, the website will not go down?

Before changing name servers and adding records via the Cloudflare DNS settings, this is my only concern.

@pedro5 When you update the nameservers, site will be down upto the immediate propagation. However, the duration may vary though not so long! but could be!
