I created a new email address with my host that just forwards to my personal email. Per the hosts instructions I created two new MX records on Cloudflare that point to the hosts servers. I also removed the existing MX record on Cloudflare, however I’m still not receiving email. Appreciate any support.
If you are using mail.apbitner.com in your mail client for sending and receiving mail, that needs to be set to “DNS only” instead of proxied. Also likely for autoconfig and autodiscover if you are using those.
In addition to what you just mentioned, if your mailCNAME points to a proxied hostname, you will need to switch the CNAME out for an A (or AAAA) record that is DNS Only.
