Email Mail Server not resolving

Hi there,

I am new to Cloud Flare and was hoping to get some help with my email issue that I am having.

My website and webmail are workign fine. My email works fine if I point my imap and smtp servers to my actual IP address on my server. If i put in my mail server hostanme (mail.blinknet.co.uk), my email client doesn’t auto detect my settings and when I put my settings in manually, my email doesn’t work at all.

Any assistance will be greatly appreciated!

Ah, your CNAME records for ‘mail’ and the MX record point to a hostname that’s still set to :orange:.

The ‘mail’ hostname should be an “A” record with the IP address of the server (the one you just tested that worked).

The MX record should point to mail.blinknet.co.uk

Thank you very mcuh for your response. Are you saying I should delete the CNAME record and create a new A record? And then just edit the MX record with my mail servers IP address?
