Email is not working since the transfer from domain.com

What is the name of the domain?

alltiago.com

What is the issue you’re encountering

Since transferring from domain.com to cloudflare, my email is not working anymore

What are the steps to reproduce the issue?

I have the domain registered with domain.com and the nameservers were changes to Hostgator’s. I then had a Wordpress website and some email accounts.
Recently I decided to start using Obsidian Publish and wanted to use that as my main website instead of Wordpress.
I followed the instructions to start using Cloudflare and the website is working, but the email is not anymore.
I’m no expert in Cloudflare at all and the “Records” panel is also foreign to me.

I’m sharing a screenshot to see if someone can help me figure this out?
I appreciate any tips and help you can give me so I can make the emails to work again :raised_hands:

You need to make sure that only DNS records used for websites are proxied.

Everything else, like email, needs to be DNS-Only. So you definitely need to change the mail subdomain to DNS-Only.

Thank you so much for you quick and helpful reply!

I made that change and the warning next to MX is gone now.

Do you see anything else I need to change from this list? I guess that the one in the red rectangle should be changed as well?

Anything else?

How about on this list? Should I change any of those from DNS only to Proxied (to avoid issues with the website and/or email)?

Thank you!

When I hover over the warning next to the A record I see this:

Any tips on how to fix this?

No. The webmail subdomain is a website and can stay proxied.

You just need to ignore that. Is your email working now?
