Email DNS Records are repopulated with the domain name instead of @

Hello,

I just updated my Namecheap domain DNS nameservers to Cloudflare. I have an email service under the same domain by Namecheap.

I see that Namecheap email service DNS records are prepopulated/migrated to Cloudflare. I just noticed that under the records name, it shows the domain name in Cloudflare, but from Namecheap recommended steps, it asks to enter @ under the record name.

Is entering the domain name or @ the same for the MX and TXT records?

I really appreciate any help you can provide.

Yes. They mean the same thing. The @ will just get converted to your domain name when it goes into the DNS system. No DNS lookup is going to show a hostname as “@”.
