Email DNS and how to use Cloudflare to the hilt?

I’m not sure if this is email routing for DNS & Network as a topic but I want to use Cloudflare to the greatest extent possible for email.

These are the features I want to setup and I’d like help in the form of direction to know where I can read about their implementation. Could you point me in that direction?

  • Cloudflare NS records setup
  • Cloudflare proxy feature to protech my primary IP
  • Cloudflare SSL on demand

Thank you!

Also feel free to let me know if there’s something I’m missing that would be really good for an email server using a Cloudflare product.

What exactly do you want to do? Cloudflare’s proxy does not handle email.

Email Routing is a mechanism for incoming mail only. You get emails forwarded to your primary email address (gmail or something), but you cannot respond.

Hi, thanks! To clarify, I have my DNS records for email somewhere betsides cloudflare, but I’d like to direct an NS entry towards Cloudflare to increase deliverability. I’m not sure what I put in.

Ultimately, I’d like to have my DNS records all on cloudflare, but I don’t know how easy that is to do for domains that have been setup elsewhere.
