Elementor plug-in not working

Hi there,
I am trying to edit my site with elementor - however, it is not working. It keeps loading until a pop-out at the bottom right asks “enable safe mode” - I click, it and I receive an error message. I tried clearing the cache and I updated all of my plug-ins, including elementor.

Please help as I need to edit my website - the images are not working!

Thanks

Hi,

Thanks for asking.

May I ask if you have got some caching at the origin host or some caching plugin for your WordPress instance?

Have you got some output at the console, or some errors appearing while loading the Elementor assets/resources?

Kindly, see below article which is related to the Rocket Loader feature which might cause this and a way to disable it via Page Rules or in general for the whole domain at CF dashboard → Speed → Optimization:

Those instructions only specify the match, but not the needed action. They probably want that Page Rule to disable Rocket Loader for the matching URLs if so.

Moreover, have you tried using a search to find any helpful information or related fix?:

Furthermore, maybe some or more of the resources are being blocked or something else due to either security or firewall, or triggers some JS challenge at Cloudflare end?

If so, you should see the challenged/blocked firewall events in the firewall events if you navigate to the Cloudflare dashboard → Security → Overview and lookup for Firewall events for the past 24hours or so. Once you find them, click on a particular one to find more details about it (user-agent, IP, HTTP version …).
Could you share some details which service was triggered that blocked you?

Other helpful article for troubleshooting and double-checking some options at Cloudflare dashboard which may interfere with Elementor:

You could determine if this behaviour continues even by using a “Pause” option at Cloudflare as follows:

  1. Use the “Pause Cloudflare on Site” option from the Overview tab for your domain at dash.cloudflare.com .
  2. The link is in the lower right corner of that page.
  3. Give it five minutes to take effect, then make sure site is working as expected with HTTPS.
  4. Re-try with updating.
  5. Upon success, un-pause and continue using Cloudflare.

If yes, then I’d suggest you to whitelist your Cloudways / origin host / server / hosting IP address by navigating to the Security → WAF → Tools → IP Access Rules with the action “allow” for your Website and try again.
