Edge certificate "pending validation" - how long should I wait?

Sorry, I am German. That’s why I have some problems to understand, what’s the best to do now :slight_smile:

Situation:

  • I registered my site floo.eu at cloudflare (free plan)

  • deleted three entries in my DNS (floo.eu) as shown at the 3-Steps at Cloudflare

  • I am the owner of the domain and done it in the INWX-Dashboard

  • added the two entries in the DNS as shown in the 3-Steps (copy - paste)

  • made an external Link to the Cloudflare as shown …

  • edge certificate “pending validation” since Saturday

…

Should I still wait?

I have the feeling, that I made something wrong.

When I open my website, there is the failure:
DNS address wasn’t found
DNS_Probe_possible

Could one help me?

You have DNSSEC activated at your registrar. That means you also need to activate DNSSEC in Cloudflare and then update the values at your registrar with those provided by Cloudflare.

Thank you so much! This was the first step, I made wrong. :see_no_evil:

Actually I found, that the message now
(ERR_SSL_VERSION_OR_CIPHER_MISMATCH)
should disappear after 15 minutes to 24 hours at latest, once the Status of the Universal Certificate is active.

I will wait :wink: - and reply.

You can also go to https://dash.cloudflare.com/?to=/:account/:zone/ssl-tls/edge-certificates.
At the bottom, disable Universal SSL, wait one minute and reenable it.

That way, you wouldn’t have to wait.
