Edge certificate cannot be updated properly

I found that updating my custom edge certificate always fails.

Certificate brand/algorithm: “Rapid/RSA”
Root certificate used: “DigiCert”
Update certificate steps:

  1. Using an account “[email protected]” login to the Cloudflare backend normally
  2. Select the ‘bullsmart. in’ domain name
  3. Select the “Edge Certificates” option from the “SSL/TLS” dropdown box on the left
  4. Select a certificate of type ‘Custom Modern (default)’
  5. Select the “Wrench Icon” update button in the dropdown box to enter certificate update
  6. Select a Bundle Method of type ‘User Defined’
  7. Upload the certificate chain including the Root certificate (3 segments)
  8. Upload private key certificate
  9. Submission

Submit the returned failure information:
“Unable to verify the certificate thain”;
“The certificate chain you uploaded cannot be bundled using Cloudflare’s trust store. Please check your input and try aggin(Code:2100)”

  1. If my certificate chain does not include a root certificate, uploading it is normal.
  2. If my upload method is compatible, it is normal, but I cannot use the root certificate.

I always fail to update edge certificates, the specific information is as follows.

  1. If the root certificate is not added, the update is successful, but the certificate chain only has 2 segments.
  2. If the default compatibility mode is selected, the update is also successful, but the certificate chain is also 2 segments.

I’m not sure how to update my custom edge certificate right now

Why would you want to include the root? That seems pointless and is also something you are not supposed to do according to the documentation:
