Dynamic web badges - Cloudflare Logo and Web Badges

Hi there.

Regarding the usage of CF logo and badge’s as described at Cloudflare Logo The comment about dynamic web badges goes as follows;

Dynamic web badges change depending on the status of your website on Cloudflare. If it is active on Cloudflare, the cloud icon will be orange. If it is not active on Cloudflare, the cloud icon will disappear.

Question is - what does “status of your website on Cloudflare” mean. I have a free account at the moment but pay for certain usage based products but the cloud icon is NOT orange when code is installed on my site. Need help to understand what “status of your website on Cloudflare” means?

Active means in this context proxied. If the hostname in question is proxied the image will appear, otherwise not.

If your DNS records are :grey: you actually won’t be using any of the Cloudflare services except for DNS.

I just tested this on a site of mine. Dark cloud when the site is not proxied by Cloudflare, but it did turn orange once I proxied my site (:orange: in DNS)
