Dynamic DNS via DNS-O-Matic Setup Help

I would like to setup an A record that is not the root of my domain as dynamic DNS record, so basically:

CNAME record for example [.] com -> goes to myblog [.] com
A record for test [.] example [.] com -> is dynamically updated

When replacing “dynamic” in the host field in DNS-O-Matic with “test” I receive the error that this host is not available. What am I missing?

Does it already exist? Typically, it does, and D-O-M just updates it. I believe Create and Update are syntactically different.
