Domain Suspended due to whois contact email typo

What is the name of the domain?

austinissa.org

What is the error number?

No number, just unable to verify contact email

What is the error message?

This contact is not verified.Resend verification email

What is the issue you’re encountering

I used an email for the domain in question, with a typo for the TLD of .og not .org. I corrected the mistake not knowing all DNS directions are blocked, so no emails can be delivered to the domain. So the new verification emails cannot be delivered. I tried to cancel the change and receive an error that the change cannot be canceled and to contact support. Created support tickets, the tickets are immediately closed saying another, unrelated domain, has a problem with the domain transfer. It is for a TOTALLY different domain.

What steps have you taken to resolve the issue?

I made 2 mistakes: 1) I used an email for the domain in question, and 2) I misspelled the domain. Upon correcting the misspelling, no emails can be delivered. I cannot cancel the change request and am told to contact support. I just paid for a business membership to get support and Chat is not available for any topics I choose. An email was sent to the Trust and Safety Team after half a dozen follow emails to support. No response from them. Sadly, I need to get this fixed, and it turns out that paying doesn’t actually give you more support.

What are the steps to reproduce the issue?

wait until a domain is suspended and then try to verify an email to that domain.

Sorry for the issues you’re facing. I show the account you are using here as verified and show the domain you indicated as active in that account. And I see the domain as on a Business plan with the correct nameservers assigned to the account you are using here have propagated, DNS Propagation Checker - Global DNS Testing Tool

I do not see a site .og in your account nor in any account in any status.

Can you share your ticket number here? I want Support to get their eyes on your issue and the reply you received.

Hey there!

Sorry for the difficulty with this. I heard you were able to get through on chat, and my colleague Zach will be escalating this to the Registrar team.

If you need anything else, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us again.

Ugh. The contact email was changed for the WRONG domain!! Our site and email have been blocked for 58 hours and all Cloudflare wants to do is talk about a different domain than any of my messages annd support tickets indicate.

Why are you intentionally avoiding correcting this problem?

And another failed response by support:

Hey there,

Can you try cancelling the current Registrant Contact Change Pending to the email [email protected] and instead try it again using the email [email protected] to unsuspend the domain? Once the domain is unsuspended you should be able to change the contact email to [email protected] without issues.

Here is a quick access link to your domain management dashboard:

Is this the first time in Cloudflare’s history that someone has used the wrong email? I cannot comprehend the profound lack of professionalism required to screw up fixing a SIMPLE problem 6 times in a row, 63 hours in and counting. Are you using some kind of AI chatbot to help the support people spit out canned responses? Clearly, they are not reading the ticket’s history; otherwise, none of the mistaken fixes would have occurred.

@capitoloftexasissa are you still encountering issues with this?

They were able to get it fixed finally. It was pretty frustrating that the support kept responding to another domain in my account. And sadly claimed that the transfer of that domain failed due to a security lock, yet without any intervention on my part the transfer completed fine (I actually have an email from 2 weeks earlier saying the transfer was complete). It is as if the support people were seeking any response to close the ticket.
