Domain Registered with Cloudflare Registrar Stuck on Wrong Nameservers

What is the name of the domain?

jorojack.com

What is the error message?

jorojack.com is pending until you complete the instructions on the Overview page and we are able to verify ownership.

What is the issue you’re encountering

My domain (jorojack.com) was purchased directly from Cloudflare Registrar. However, my Cloudflare dashboard is asking me to update my nameservers to: boyd.ns.cloudflare.com luciana.ns.cloudflare.com But my WHOIS records show different Cloudflare nameservers: cloe.ns.cloudflare.com kayden.ns.cloudflare.com Since I bought the domain directly from Cloudflare, I cannot manually change the nameservers myself. My domain remains stuck in a “Pending” state, and I cannot activate Cloudflare services. I need Cloudflare support to manually correct the nameservers so my domain becomes active.

What steps have you taken to resolve the issue?

  1. Checked my domain settings in Cloudflare Dashboard under the Overview and DNS tabs.
  2. Verified my WHOIS records, which show different nameservers than what Cloudflare is asking me to use.
  3. Tried to purge cache and re-check nameservers in Cloudflare, but I do not have the ability to change them since my domain is registered with Cloudflare Registrar.
  4. Attempted to find direct support, but Cloudflare does not allow me to submit a regular support ticket on the free plan.
  5. Followed Cloudflare’s guidance, but my domain remains stuck in a “Pending” state.

Nameservers

What are the steps to reproduce the issue?

I registered my domain jorojack.com directly with Cloudflare Registrar.
After registration, my Cloudflare dashboard showed two different sets of nameservers:
Cloudflare tells me to use:
Copy
Edit
boyd.ns.cloudflare.com
luciana.ns.cloudflare.com
WHOIS lookup still shows:
Copy
Edit
cloe.ns.cloudflare.com
kayden.ns.cloudflare.com
Since Cloudflare Registrar does not allow me to change nameservers manually, I am stuck in a “Pending” state and cannot activate my domain.
My site is not resolving because Cloudflare has not correctly updated my nameservers.
I tried:
Clearing cache in Cloudflare.
Waiting for propagation (more than 24 hours).
Checking WHOIS to confirm the nameservers still do not match.
Searching for a way to manually change nameservers but found that Cloudflare Registrar does not allow it.
I need Cloudflare support to manually update my nameservers so my domain can become active.

Two different sets of cloudflare nameservers is a very good indicator you are logged into the wrong account. Check the domain has nameservers here, DNS Propagation Checker - Global DNS Testing Tool. If the two you see on whatsmydns are not the two you see shown on this page, https://dash.cloudflare.com/?to=/:account/:zone/dns then you are most certainly in the wrong account.

The only way you’ll be able to regain access is by having access to the email address of the other account. I’d start with this link, if you don’t know the email. Do that and then check any other email accounts for an email on gaining access. This link may help, but it only work when logged out, if you don’t know the email: https://dash.cloudflare.com/forgot-emai
