Domain privacy for owned domain with no hosting?

What is the name of the domain?

exampledomain.com

What is the issue you’re encountering

I’m brand new to Cloudflare and considering moving my domains to them. I own a privately registered domain that I do not host anywhere. I just own it. Let’s call it exampledomain.com. If I transfer that domain from my current registrar over to my free Cloudflare account but do not point the DNS anywhere, will my PII be exposed to whois queries or other registrars?

What steps have you taken to resolve the issue?

It looks like Cloudflare “may have” free domain privacy automatically included, but I also saw somewhere that they do not park domains. I could not find a clear answer on the privacy question above. Thank you in advance.

Cloudflare redacts your information in whois, except state and country. You don’t need to turn anything on; it’s automatic.

This does not apply to a couple of TLDs like .us that don’t allow it.
