Domain Pending Nameserver Update

Hi team,

Per the topic, a domain (kizi.to) has been stuck on “Pending Nameserver Update” for almost 3 days now.

I’ve, rightfully, updated the NS records on my registrar (Namecheap) to point to only the NS zones Cloudflare provided: (dave.ns.cloudflare.com, vera.ns.cloudflare.com), and using dig (dig ns +short kizi.to) the ns records show Cloudflare’s appropriately.

I’ve also browsed around the community tips for DNS issues and looked at previous threads on discourse with this issue to no avail.

Please can anything be done to assist in “confirming” this domain on Cloudflare?

Thanks! :pray:t5:

You still have an nsone.net nameserver configured. Remove that one and it should work.

Hi @sandro

Many thanks for the prompt response :raised_hands:t5:

I’ve checked Namecheap’s dash, and spoken to Namecheap’s support, the only two NS records configured on their end is the CF’s. – they pointed me to this URL: https://www.namecheap.com/domains/whois/result?domain=kizi.to

dig also confirms the same.

Is there anything else I “could” do apart from waiting and hoping the nsone ns flushes?

Thanks!

I am afraid your registrar is either wrong or the change was not properly implemented by the registry.

nslookup -type=ns kizi.to tonic.to
Server: UnKnown
Address: 144.202.111.210

kizi.to nameserver = dns3.p05.nsone.net
kizi.to nameserver = dave.ns.cloudflare.com
kizi.to nameserver = vera.ns.cloudflare.com

If you cant remove it from your registrar, your registrar will have to talk to the registry.

Alright, got it @sandro

Thanks again.

Will reach out to Namecheap’s support again with this information.

Circling back to provide closure on this.

It seems to have indeed been an issue with registrar/registry. Opened another ticket with registrar yesterday and they reverted a few hours ago that it has been fixed.

The domain is now active on Cloudflare. :tada:

Thanks, a lot, for the help with this @sandro :pray:t5:
