Domain missing from account after purchase from Cloudflare Registrar

What is the name of the domain?

What is the issue you’re encountering

I purchased the domain nightborn.us from the Cloudflare Registrar yet it does not show on my Cloudflare account.

What steps have you taken to resolve the issue?

Contacted Cloudflare support, followed the links in the purchase receipt emails I received, watched getting started tutorials to confirm my experience was atypical.

Anyone know how long I should expect to wait for Cloudflare support to get back to me? I’m a bit worried that they won’t get back to me since there is no record of the purchase on the account, even though I linked the invoice email in the support ticket.

What are the steps to reproduce the issue?

Honestly, I hope these steps are not reproducible.

Please double check that you are in the correct Cloudflare account.

It’s possible that you are in the wrong account, so please check that you are using the same email to login that the invoice was sent to.

Also check if maybe you logged in via iCloud/Google when you bought the domain.

Hello,

It is the account the email was sent to, but I did purchase it through iCloud. I tried logging in through the iCloud account and it is missing there too. Is there a third account that may have been created? Something weird like that?

Any funny business like iCloud private relay that you may have used?

I was in my normal iCloud+ Features, selected Custom Email Domain, did a search, found one from Cloudflare, made a purchase via Cloudflare Registrar, received a confirmation via the Cloudflare Registrar, clicked the login link in that email, and the account I logged into did not have the Domain listed.

Can you add a random domain (like fsbdkuzfbasdfsudtfv.com) to your accounts and see which nameserver you are assigned?

The domain is active in an account with nameservers virginia and seth - unless you see these 2 nameservers when you add a domain, you are most likely in the wrong CF account.

Most of the time when this happens, it’s because someone accidentally bought the domain on a different account than they intended.

I’ve seen people accidentally buy the domain on their partner’s iCloud account, via a private instead of business email etc.

I’ve just used the “I forgot my email” function with your domain - can you check again and confirm to which email address you received notification(s)?

Are you maybe using iCloud’s “Hide my email” setting?

You solved the issue. Because I used iCloud it associated my domain with an account it made via the masked appleid.com email address of my primary account. That is annoying. Thank you for the help!
