Ive been sent the following instructions for the team hosting our website. I have been told the records on your domain are correct however I have been advised that the domain should be connected in someway to CLOUDFLARE. Now unfortunately I wouldn’t know this so can you ask CLOUDFLARE the following: " There should be a connection between the domain itself and Cloudflare. Can you confirm that connection is made? "

The vague terminology being used by your hosting team is not standard. It is unclear what they are asking. A simple DNS query will confirm that there is a “connection” between Cloudflare and the domain.
Perhaps they would benefit from the following report on your domain. We would be able to better help with a more clear explanation of what your hosting team is expecting to see.
