I don’t see a GoDaddy landing page. I see a proper WordPress website at that domain. Could you try clearing a browser and device cache?

Thanks a million for that. I have frequently cleared the cache etc & history to no avail. But having asked a friend to check the url it does appear everything is actually working & that for some reason my system is reverting back to an old url regardless of history details.

Most people only clear browser-level cache. It might be worthwhile to try clearing a DNS cache as well:
