Does the Cloudflare system treat www prefixed host names differently?

When create domains prefixed with wwwX.domain.com it seems that the cloudflare dns system strips of the leading www and searches for something like X.domain.com.

Even www.domain.com seems to change to .domain.com.

Is this something new?

I also realize that pinging some domains results in 104.21.2.110 and 172.67.129.27 and the later always fails to get http data. wget always fails

Hi there,

Do you have an example that we can use to try to replicate this issue? Where do you see the ā€œwwwā€ to be stripped?

Hope to hear back from you soon!
