Would Cloudflare block any access to R2? I didn’t think it did.

If using a custom domain with R2 then the zone’s rules can control access, but any blocking on Cloudflare would return a Cloudflare block or error page. Instead the reported error from the browser is…

…which means the request isn’t reaching Cloudflare. A tcptraceroute to see where the packets stop would be the place to start looking.

Thanks SJR, I forgot all about traceroute. I’ll ask them to give that a go.

tcptraceroute (using port 443) is better since it reflects trying to connect, ICMP from a traceroute may not give the same picture.

I tested it and it works well for me. Hopefully our customer will be able to use it and confirm the problem is at their end
Thanks again.

Hi SJR,

Customer gets blocked at the Cloudflare Perimeter/CDN - IP Address 141.101.71.107
Do you know what process I have to follow to get their IP Address White listed?

Public IP Address is 213.129.74.45 with a subnet of 255.255.255.240

Thanks, Perry.

As I said, you need to use tcptraceroute, not traceroute.

Hi, they’re a Windows site. We told them tcptraceroute.
