Does CloudFlare provide security to your domain if you simply use it for DNS?

I currently use Cloudflare for just DNS. (I’m only using the grey clouds.) I do not use the SSL. Is Cloudflare providing any security to my domain? Will Cloudflare stop an attack if they target my domain on here?

Hopefully that makes sense. It’s a simple question, but I can’t seem to find an answer. Thanks to anyone who’s willing to help.

Cloudflare as a DNS provider will generally only prevent DDOS attacks against your site’s nameservers, however these attacks are very uncommon and very ineffective nowadays. DNS-only mode doesn’t hide your server’s IP and won’t be able to protect you from attacks.
