I am unable to add cloudflare proxy to the CNAME record of DNS because I am with Shopify. Will I still get the full functionality of speed optimisation and security with cloudflare? Or will this be void due to not having the proxy?
You can’t activate the proxy because Shopify is using the Cloudflare proxy themselves, meaning they control all the settings.
You are using most Cloudflare security and performance features that way, but you can’t make any rules (suck as blocks) yourself.
However, if you want to, you can ask support to activate O2O for your account. With that, you would be able to proxy the CNAME and control the settings yourself.
