Do I need to pay network traffic fees if using Cloudflare with Google Cloud

Hi,

I have a question about using Cloudflare with Google Cloud.

Google Cloud does support a “CDN Interconnect” feature (CDN Interconnect overview  |  Network Connectivity  |  Google Cloud), which says all egress traffic between CDN and Google Cloud is free as long as the CDN node is within the same region of Google Cloud VM instances. ( The ingress traffic of Google cloud is always free)

So, If I host a website in a Google Cloud VM instance, and setup Cloudflare for it, I wouldn’t need to pay any traffic fees in Google Cloud. Is it right?

Where are you seeing free egress in that link? I always thought the pricing was reduced, but not free, and I can’t see anything in your link that contradicts that.
