DNSSEC is stuck after domain registrar transfer from GoDaddy to Porkbun

What is the name of the domain?

miicat.eu

What is the error message?

From porkbun: unable to create the DNSSEC record

What is the issue you’re encountering

Can’t enable DNSSEC

What steps have you taken to resolve the issue?

I transferred my domain from GoDaddy to Porkbun while the DNSSEC was on. After the transfer, I disabled the DNSSEC from cloudflare’s settings, but after about a day, trying to enable the DNSSEC doesn’t seem to work

I found this thread: DNSSEC Records Not Updating After Domain Transfer - #5 by fritex and I think I’m facing the same problem

What feature, service or problem is this related to?

DNSSEC

You need to enable/disable DNSSEC at your registrar, not at Cloudflare.

In Cloudflare, it’s best to just leave DNSSEC enabled. There is no “good” reason to ever disable DNSSEC at Cloudflare.

So if you want to disable DNSSEC, do so at Porkbun. And if you want to enable it, take the DS record that Cloudflare gives you and use that to enable DNSSEC at Porkbun.

I had it enabled on cf and tried enabling it on Porkbun after the transfer (filled only dsData), but porkbun says it’s invalid

Can you show a screenshot of what you entered and the error in Porkbun?

It just basic message modal with ok button

“unable to create the DNSSEC record”

Can you share a sceeenshot of the details as entered which resulted in that message? I believe that is what @Laudian was asking to see.

Ah, here’s screenshot of the details half censored with the error message too

Damn it, I decided to try filling just the keyData, and looks like it worked
