DNSSEC enabled but fails Health Check

Hi, I have setup a Wordpress Multisite using primary domain Eventsppl.com. I have created two subdomains:

  • virtual-wedding.stream.
  • virtual-funeral.stream.

They are setup in Wordpress Multi Sites as https://virtual-wedding.stream and https://virtual-funeral.stream.

Nameservers pointing from Namesilo (Registrar) to

DNSSEC enabled for Eventsppl.com on Cloudflare. I have used the same DS Record for all three sites.
i.e.

Namesilo confirms configurations for all three are correct.

DNS records in Eventsppl (Cloudflare) setup as follows:

  • TYPE:A NAME: virtual-funeral.stream CONTENT:68.66.248.48
  • TYPE:A NAME: virtual-wedding.stream CONTENT:68.66.248.48
  • TYPE:CNAME NAME: www.virtual-funeral.stream CONTENT:virtual-funeral.stream
  • TYPE:CNAME NAME: www.virtual-wedding.stream CONTENT:virtual-wedding.stream

When I run a Health Check on Cloudflare for the Wedding and Funeral sites it indicates that

  • Check DNSSEC configuration

  • no_dnssec_found - the site does not have any DNSSEC records.

  • Check if connecting to ‘www.domain.com’ works

  • dnsexception - there was an error when communicating with the DNS server.

  • Check if connecting to ‘domain.com’ works

  • dnsexception - there was an error when communicating with the DNS server.

  • Check for existing MX records
*dnsexception - there was an error when communicating with the DNS server.

  • Check for redirect loops

  • request_failed - Your request failed because the web server did not respond.

  • And all other requests failed.

The Eventsppl.com site passes all tests.

Please can I ask the community to advise me where I have made an error.

Thank you

Regards
James

These domains are not on Cloudflare in the first place. You assigned some nameservers, but that’s it and you actually can’t do that before adding the domains.

Plus, your HTTPS certificates on your server do not work and you’d need to fix this first too.

Hi Sandro, thank you. I will get onto it straight away.

virtual-wedding.stream is now set up but its DNSSEC is still broken. You need to set that up at your registrar’s with the values provided by Cloudflare.

Plus, don’t forget the certificate on your server
