DNSomatic always bad answer

DnsOmatic always says me that Cloudflare answer is “err More than 1200 requests per 300 seconds reached. Please wait and consider throttling your request speed (10100)”

What’s wrong ?

What’s ?!?!!?

Same for me for months now.

To be honest: I gave up since i don’t rely on this feature.

What is that in the first place?

Sandro are You talking about my post ?

Partially  it was mostly in response to @MarkMeyer. It is not clear to me what the issue is.

I don’t know what’s the problem but I have always a bad response from Cloudflare on dnsomatic update ip…and the error is always the same reported in the mail

It’s about dyn DNS not being updated through DNS-O-Matic via CF API
Still get emails that the rate limit is reached.

Allllllriight  Thanks for the clarification.

Thats better a question for that service though I guess.

DnsOmatic mail says that the error answer “err More than 1200 requests per 300 seconds reached. Please wait and consider throttling your request speed (10100)” is from Cloudflare !

That’s what the Cloudflare support wrote about 9 months ago:

Hi there,

The 1200 requests per 300 seconds is a rate-limit we have not per account, but per IP making the updates, so you are likely not the only DNS-O-Matic customer seeing this issue. This is a hard limit, and something DNS-O-Matic must work to resolve. If they’re not able to refactor their requests to get under this limit, they can reach out to us directly and we may be able to find an alternate solution.

Kind regards,

I reached out to Cisco, but -surprise- no reply.

I wrote to DnsOmatic too…anyway the service DnsOmatic isn’t working at all for me with this problem
There’s some other way to update my dynamic IP to Cloudflare ?
