I have had a client hold on my domain and I don’t know how to get rid of it. My DNS records won’t update.

What steps have you taken to resolve the issue?

The registrar is listed as Tucows Domains. On their site, the provider search shows: 310 Exceeded max command rate

My DNS records haven’t updated after several delays and I can’t figure out how to remove the hold.

Tucows is a large registrar used by smaller domain sellers, so whoever you pay for your domain registration is who you need to contact.

I transferred the domain to Cloudflare a while back. ICANN still shows google domains.

You will need to change the nameservers from the googledomains.com ones to the 2 allocated Cloudflare ones for your domain to become active on Cloudflare.

Tucows is stilll showing as the registrar. If they are being used by Squarespace then you’ll need to contact Squarespace. While the clientHold is in place, your domain won’t resolve and nothing you do on Cloudflare or your current DNS will fix that. You need to contact the registrar.
