Trying to add PTR record per instructions from MS Office 365 Support but record wont add and i get this error.
DNS Validation Error (Code: 1004) Content for CNAME record is invalid

A PTR record is not a CNAME record. If Cloudflare is hosting your reverse DNS zone (which would make you an Enterprise customer) you will want to select PTR as the record type, not CNAME.
More often, your PTR(which is a reverse DNS entry which maps an IP address to a host name) is managed by your ISP or network provider who controls the IP address in question and the record should be created there.
