DNS Validation Error (Code: 1004) adding CNAME

Hi,

I recently switched host to WPEngine and during the process I followed their preferred option to point my nameservers to Cloudflare. Everything has seemed to be operating okay for the last week, but today I tried to switch the email sending method.

I had been using Mandrill for transactional emails prior to switching host but since I switched host there have been errors and so WPEngine suggested SendGrid would work better. I signed up to SendGrid today. As part of the Install DNS Records process there were 5 CNAME records to install.

The first two CNAME records on the list have installed on Cloudflare’s DNS management okay but the last 3 on the list give me an error in a red bar at the bottom of the screen, showing DNS Validation Error (Code: 1004). On finding the meaning of this error it looks as though there could be an abuse or terms of service violation but I don’t see what I’m doing wrong.

Does anyone have any guidance or suggestions?

Can you post screenshots or the dns settings and the error?
Remember to blackout any sensitive info from the screenshots.
