DNS upload of records

I have about 200 dns records. what format do I need it in to upload? Can I use a linux “named” data file to upload? Should I remove the SOA first?

See the documentation below (TL;DR: it’s a Bind zone file):

I was successful in uploading my zone. But I noticed that many have a status of proxy and some have “DNS Only”. Can someone tell me what that means?

Also, is there a way for me to test some of the DNS entries without going live? For example is there an IP address I can statically set for DNS in my computer to test it. Things look good to me, but might be prudent to test a bit if possible.

These should be self-explanatory:

Proxied means all requests for the hostname first go through Cloudflare’s network – to benefit from Cloudflare’s WAF, global CDN, and all the goodies Cloudflare offers – before going to the origin server.

DNS Only is just that: Cloudflare merely resolves the hostname to the configured origin, so the request goes directly to the origin server.
