What is the issue you’re encountering
My home network I use Starlink. I do not have the business plan and there for no Static IP address. I have managed to use the DNS tunnel to bypass this and I’m able to access some resources from outside my network. I am trying to host games like Minecraft from my network. But using DNS, and DDNS does not work because of starlink, and their GNAT network. I am unable to use the DNS tunnel to access minecraft because it keeps trying to go to Http://localhost:25565 and minecraft is unable to identify the host. Is there another method I can use to bypass the GNAT from starlink using the DNS tunnel? The MC server is hosted off a Fedora 40 Server machine. I again can access the Fedora Server and the AMP application being hosted off the Server externally using the DNS tunnel just fine, but not minecraft
What steps have you taken to resolve the issue?
A lot. The DNS records do not work because again Starlink is using GNAT. DDNS doesnt work because its a Multiple NAT environment. I tried adding “Mc.wolfhost.games” into the DNS Tunnel Public Hostname. But in the end it resolves it to “Http://localhost:25565” and well when you enter that exact thing to minecraft or “Http://192.168.1.121:25565” into the minecraft IP address, it doesnt understand and says cant find host.
I feel like I am very close to getting this annoying BS to work all because Starlink is a P.I.A, but also feel like its not possible
