What is the name of the domain?

This record exposes the IP address used in the A record on … Enable the Proxied status

What is the issue you’re encountering

I have a CNAME record ‘mail’ with content ‘mydomain.com’ and set to DNS only. But if I set it to Proxied then I can’t reach my POP3 mail server.

What steps have you taken to resolve the issue?

None - I’m stuck!

This is expected behavior if a server providing services which can’t be proxied are on the same server (IP address) as a service which is proxied. The only resolution would be to move the service(s) POP3/SMTP/whatever to another service if needed / required. For many smaller websites this is not generally necessary.
