DNS resolution from a Hong Kong IP is directed to the US instead of Hong Kong.

If the DNS record in question is proxied, then it is normal for the IP being returned when querying for that DNS record to instead return a Cloudflare IP as a security measure. Since Cloudflare IPs are registered in the US and use anycast, it looks like you are connecting to the US, but you are actually getting connected to the closest Cloudflare edge server to you.
If you read my question carefully, you’ll see that it’s actually Google’s domain resolution that has an issue, not Cloudflare’s.
