DNS records are not propagating

What is the name of the domain?

selectionpoint.co.uk

What is the issue you’re encountering

I have been told by my host (123-reg) that my DNS records are not propagating or issues with the nameservers.

What steps have you taken to resolve the issue?

checked and all seems to be in order.

What feature, service or problem is this related to?

DNS records

As far as I checked, looks like domain nameservers are okay.
Returned IP address of Website A record is Cloudflare and is proxied :orange:, DNSSEC has no issue.

I see this:

Furthermore, if you recently changed your domain nameservers, regular DNS propagation time usually takes up to 24-48 hours to complete.

You could get this error even as there might be some DNS cache at your local ISP provider.

May I ask have you tried using a different Web browser, or tried clearing your Web browser cache?
How about using a Private window (Incognito mode) or a VPN connection if possible?
Is it the same behaviour on your mobile phone (4G LTE, mobile data, cellular)?

Hi,
Thank you for the response, i am getting someone at 123-Reg telling me

As mentioned, something is causing propagation issues on Cloudflare’s side. You can see it using this tool:

Send it to Cloudflare and ask them why the new IP is not propagating.

Can you see any issues for help?

The record is proxied. The address returned won’t change when the target changes. Is something not working?

I am being told by 123-reg guy: This IP should be 92.205.3.211:

a8ed7ce9-d34d-4b71-8c9c-65c9ed50f36c

Looks like you want to unproxy the record. Set the A record to :grey: DNS only to see the expected result.

Great, thank you very much, seems to be resolved.
Can you please tell me what it means is it is proxied or not? what is the difference? and what would be better?

Thanks agoin

When it’s proxied, your original ips are hid behind Cloudflare IPs. Traffic is served through Cloudflare protecting your origin server; and more features you benefit from by keeping :orange: proxied. While :grey: is not recommended unless there’s a specific need. More info is here:
