DNS proxy, origin SSL and website logon

Describe the issue you are having:
Trying to secure a site with an origin server SSL. With the site DNS proxied, the site will load successfully with no ssl errors, however on trying to login to the site I am just taken back to the logon screen of the site and asked for username/password again.

When the site is not DNS proxied, SSL is invalid (expected behaviour), but the site will now allow me to login successfully.

What error message or number are you receiving?
no error message

What steps have you taken to resolve the issue?

  1. Tried deleting the site cache.
  2. Tried incognito
  3. tried to access from different devices

What are the steps to reproduce the error:

  1. Enable DNS proxy
  2. Brows to the website url
  3. Enter username and password

Have you tried from another browser and/or incognito mode?

Please attach a screenshot of the error:
No error is displayed, you are just presented with the logon screen. No failed authentication or anything like that. Just taken back to the logon screen.
