DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN error - can I permanently redirect recently transferred domain without A record?

My domain is maktabcentral.com. I recently transferred this to Cloudflare. Previously I has permanently redirecting to this domain to another site without any A records configured. But this doesn’t to be working with Cloudflare. I see a DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN error.

How can I do a perm redirect (I’m using page rules, see screenshot) only? Do I need to enter an A record? If yes, what do I enter here? Thanks.

Update: found the answer here. I guess we have to create a dummy A record for this work. I’ve done this. Hoping it works!

Thanks, that worked for me.

The solution is to make sure you enter the wildcard characters before and after the domain in page rules.
