DNS Management Says SPF Record I'm Trying to Add Already Exists—Only It Doesn't?

#CommunityTip:

Trying to add an MX SPF record per our ecommerce platform instructions (so customer inquiries sent via the platform’s CRM properly forward to our designated email address, which is hosted outside the ecommerce platform; we currently only receive the first two rounds of any discussion).

INSTRUCTIONS: Given that 3dcart (ecomm platform) does not host your domain emails, add our SPF record to your MX records. The proper SPF record is v=spf1 include:spf.protection.3dcart.com ~all.

When I try to do this I get the following error message within Cloudflare (screenshot below):

Error message "(url) has a record with content v=spf1 include:spf.protection.3dcart.com ~all

The “SPF” record type is deprecated (no longer favorable). Try using TXT instead with those same settings.

Thanks. It accepted that. Now to see if the addition actually yields the intended result :-). Thank you for the tip!
