DNS CNAME records are not propagating

I’ve recently added 2 new CNAME records to my DNS, but when I enter the same “name” used in the CNAME record into a DNS checker, I am shown that these records are not propagating.

How can I fix this?

Welcome to the Cloudflare Community. :logodrop:

Change the CNAMEs from :orange: to :grey:. When a CNAME is :orange: it is published as A and AAAA records that are used by the Cloudflare proxy. If you need the record to be published as a CNAME, it must be :grey: DNS Only.

You can share your domain name and the CNAME hostnames if you would like the Community to look into it deeper.

Thank you for your reply.

I have already changed the CNAMEs to DNS only.

My domain name is “money-methods.com

The CNAME hostnames are as followed:
1 - moneymethods
2 - _a73d37d68674803e40125dd47a7f7708.moneymethods

They are this way because I am trying to get a subdomain validated on a website named “systeme.io

Both Exist:

dig moneymethods.money-methods.com +short
d2qm4558273k8m.cloudfront.net.

dig _a73d37d68674803e40125dd47a7f7708.moneymethods.money-methods.com +short
_66afced6acf4dd1eb42153c7cea6abb6.mhbtsbpdnt.acm-validations.aws.

The domain I am trying to integrate is named “moneymethods.godaddysites.com”. DNS is not propagating for that one in specific.

Your record you have input your dashboard is for moneymethods.example.money-methods.com.

This actually resolves:

dig CNAME moneymethods.example.money-methods.com +short
Example.cloudfront.net.

If you want the record moneymethods.money-methods.com to resolve only put moneymethods in for the CNAME section in the dashboard and not moneymethods.example.com

I am trying to get the record “moneymethods.godaddysites.com” to resolve. How would I do that?

Could you please explain what you are trying to do with more detail?

If you want to create a record for moneymethods.godaddysites.com that would need to be added on the godaddysites.com domain instead of the money-methods.com domain.
