DMARK Management does not log all emails

I was wondering why not all emails sent from our main IP are recorded in DMARC reports on Cloudflare. On March 15 we have sent ~80k emails but CF DMARK report shows only ~16k on that date. Why?

DMARC reports are sent by the receiving mail system. Only a few of the big ones send reports. I see them from Google (gmail), Yahoo, Outlook, and maybe one or two others. Any mail going to providers who don’t do reports won’t be included.

70% of emails are gmail

at least 70% are gmail. The rest yahoo/aol/hotmail. Other mail systems are under 5%

Gmail’s reports are sent by Gmail. You’d have to ask them if they include 100% of received mail.

Why you are sure the issue is on Google side?

The reports are created and sent by Google. The only thing Cloudflare is doing is displaying them.

The reports don’t include a list of all emails. Literally all they contain is the data Cloudflare is showing.

Might be kind of limit from Google, right?

I don’t know. I thought the reports included all email received by that provider. I never tried comparing the numbers to my mail logs, but when I send mail to Gmail from my personal server, which only I use, the report will list one or two emails, every one I sent. I assumed it would be the same at volume.

But I have reported the fact. I really don’t understand why there is such a big difference.

You will need to ask Google about any discrepancy between the information you expect to see and what they report.
