Dmarc disable notifications

current config:

v=DMARC1; p=none; fo=1; rua=mailto:[email protected]

Can i disable these dmarc notifications being sent to my email?

Greetings,

Thank you for asking.

Just remove the rua=mailto:[email protected] part as it is optional as per RFC:

thanks, i was told by my Server admin that “Some mail services require it for mail delivery.”

would you agree with that?

DMARC helps prevent unauthorised use of your domain by third parties. DMARC reporting does not really have a role in mail delivery, it is usually to assist you in deploying DMARC safely.

You should subscribe to a DMARC reporting service if you want to deploy DMARC. The reports are not really designed to be human readable, but services like Dmarcian will turn the reports into actionable data, and help you get to a p=reject policy. A p=none policy without reporting does not make any sense.
