Hi, I’m having problems with my DKIM records not being verified by Hubspot. I’ve copied and pasted the exact records from Hubspot into Cloudlfare and waited days and still nothing. I’ve switched off Proxy and also used CNAME Flattening. Any ideas?
What is the domain and DKIM selector you are setting?
Is this the same as the DKIM signature?
You’ll be setting a record for something._domainkey.example.com
. If you give that then we can see if it resolves.
Or if you can show a screenshot of what you are being asked to set.
Thanks, They looks lke this from Hubspot. The domain is fishingworld.com.au
hs1-XXXXXXX._domainkey
hs2-XXXXXXXXX._domainkey
You need to provide the selectors in full, otherwise they can’t be checked.
Thanks, here they are:
hs1-43748446._domainkey
hs2-43748446._domainkey
You have set TXT records like this…
dig +short hs1-43748446._domainkey.fishingworld.com.au txt
"v=DKIM1; fishingworld-com-au.hs17a.dkim.hubspotemail.net."
ig +short hs2-43748446._domainkey.fishingworld.com.au txt
"v=DKIM1; fishingworld-com-au.hs17b.dkim.hubspotemail.net."
https://cf.sjr.org.uk/tools/check?07d5d5787835451ab83ad37479c75730#dns-mail
You need instead to set them as CNAMEs just with this content…
fishingworld-com-au.hs17a.dkim.hubspotemail.net
fishingworld-com-au.hs17b.dkim.hubspotemail.net
Those are set by Hubsport with your DKIM record…
dig +short fishingworld-com-au.hs17a.dkim.hubspotemail.net txt
"k=rsa;t=s;p=MIIBIjANBgkqhkiG9w0BAQEFAAOCAQ8AMIIBCgKCAQEAyvxdFOuBj6BEFMzyphPp8nx+0yQuekijNs2UUtSr+NLh7S/lsL2m/cEyj3ejuw4mvfLvDg/2O3JYcTKmR19Ss/3QumrRnQKhozeF5jkI4+hNUoK8rPNjgyNtpqJ+BhlhiyCrf+KgPJdIbJpLMW5GVFBhLKg5YgVH7QcJiKmVBFFzkmkGOefFYyuxggxxzqxItk32W" "XTRaJlK7aBBbnBm8rVADr1PCWVKJaPXfux2RzrzTNgxbnvbUWZydSV/yCKZTJnwADzXq/1WiV16Tc9hPcCDzAQUu1Uy+ByKv3v3PII856yd8npi4auOofYePv0jxdwSCGt9FoJ8rbdflo/HoQIDAQAB"
Thanks, I think we’re getting somewhere. I’ve removed the TXT records and have CNAME with the content you suggested above. But what about the name? This is what I originally had but it didn’t work. I thought maybe the name was wrong? See screenshot.
I forgot to say, make sure the CNAMEs are set to “DNS only”, but you’ve done that.
The DKIM records now resolve…
https://cf.sjr.org.uk/tools/check?f99c18f02282415996f39466b0089e26#dns-mail
[add]
The intermediate CNAMEs aren’t showing though (which might be needed for Hubspot to validate the DNS setting). Can you check you don’t have CNAME flattening enabled here (should be set to “Flatten CNAME at apex”)…
https://dash.cloudflare.com/?to=/:account/:zone/dns/settings
I just switched it over to Flatten at Apex. It was on the other option.
Solved! Thanks so much, this was a huge help! Although Hubspot says it could take 72 hours to take effect worldwide. Would my country (Australia) take effect quicker? I have a mail out to do in 12 hours.
That’s great, thanks for all your help!
