Disable SSL Automatic Mode?

What is the name of the domain?

multiple domains

What is the error number?

no errores

What is the error message?

no error messages

What is the issue you’re encountering

Automatic mode is changing SSL to the incorrect setting

What steps have you taken to resolve the issue?

After a few minutes I manually set the SSL to full, which tells me Automatic mode is disabled

Was the site working with SSL prior to adding it to Cloudflare?

Yes

What is the current SSL/TLS setting?

Full

What are the steps to reproduce the issue?

When adding a new domain to cloudflare, the SSL mode defaults to strict, then after a few minutes it automatically changes to flexible, which causes redirect issues, I then manually set it back to strict.

To avoid this issue in the future, I’d like to disable Automatic mode. Here is a screen-shot that shows Automatic mode disabled. But I do not see any setting anywhere to disable it prior to manually changing the SSL settings. Changing the SSL back to strict seems to disable the mode: https://ibb.co/X8ynsry

Screenshot of the error

It’s either Automatic –or– Custom, with Automatic being the default.

Choosing any of the Custom modes automagically disables the Automatic mode – so there’s no need for a separate toggle to disable Automatic mode.

What would be cool is if the default mode could be set account-wide for all future zones… or if the mode could be selected during zone creation. But neither of these options is available at this time.
