Disable Load Balancing

What is the name of the domain?

What is the issue you’re encountering

I’ve deleted all of my load balancers, but load balancing is still active, causing me to still be billed monthly. How do I disable load balancing?

What steps have you taken to resolve the issue?

  1. Navigated to Load Balancing section
  2. Confirmed there are no active load balancers, worker pools, or endpoints
  3. Looked for any way to explicitly disable or make load balancing inactive
  4. Searched help for “disable load balancer”, “make load balancer inactive”, etc
  5. Ask chat bot

What are the steps to reproduce the issue?

  1. Create a load balancer
  2. Remove all created resources

May I suggest two articles, one for canceling the subscription and one for removing Load Balancer(s).

Just in case we’ve missed a step to remove it, if you login to the Cloudflare dashboard and click on your image in the upper right, drop down to Billing, select Subscriptons from the menu in the left sidebar, Load Balancing is the first item, click cancel to the left of that. Let us know if you have any issues.

Furthermore, might be there still is a “lost” DNS record from your setup. To resolve this issue, I’d suggest you to follow below steps:

  1. Log in to your Cloudflare dashboard.
  2. Go to the DNS settings for your website.
  3. Look for any DNS records related to the load balancer (usually A, AAAA, or CNAME records with the name of your website).
  4. Delete any records associated with the load balancer.
  5. If you cannot delete them, contact Cloudflare support for assistance as there may be a residual configuration on their end.
  6. If all the above was done, you’ll need to follow these directions here to create a Billing Ticket, Billing, Plans & Subscription Questions

Remember to add the correct DNS records to point to your website’s server after removing the load balancer records.
