The site was reachable until yesterday. I made no changes in any configuration or at the website content.

What steps have you taken to resolve the issue?

I deleted the deployment completely, re-deployed it, reset all the DNS and SSL settings (strict SSL). I added the page to the domain, I also setup custom domain in the pages settings. I still get the 404 error. I also set the CNAME record, deleted it, set it again. No difference. Any ideas what happened?

After making changes, have you deployed it again? You need to do so to see the changes.

Yes, I deployed successfully again. But I still can’t reach the domain. Everything in custom domains is green and active and there are no error messages anywhere in the Cloudflare dashboard.

I’d rather check the DNS settings. Please make sure you’ve relevant records placed in the DNS.

Here are my DNS settings.

In the Cloudflare pages settings I set two custom domains: webapp.gmbh and
www.webapp.gmbh

My deployment domain is webapp-gmbh-website.pages.dev

I can’t reach any of these pages.

It’s really strange it worked for a full week without any problems and now I can’t reach the domain anymore. Any idea what’s wrong?

Could you make sure you’ve the valid files to serve. Because the error states there’s no page found. Secondly, the webapp-gmbh-website.pages.dev is loading on https. So, most likely issue lies at the improper configuration for page being served.

Thank you for your support.

I tried different configurations (it’s actually not a complex website), but I couldn’t make it work again on Cloudflare. So I put the website on another web hoster and use Clouflare now only as the domain handler and DNS server. The website worked immediately without any problems.
