Deactivated plugin now site is crashed and no access to WP Dashboard

I was getting an error when working on my Wordpress site and deactivated the Cloudflare plug in to see if it was the culprit. Once I did that I lost access to the Wordpress dashboard and when revisiting my site, received a “too many redirects” error.

Found some instructions to change settings for SSL from flexible to Full (Strict), which I did, then received an error that reads,

“Error 526 Ray ID: 477c2327a996b3ba • 2018-11-10 23:00:48 UTC
Invalid SSL certificate”

Help! I’ve been trying to get this fixed for 4 hours.

The Full (Strict) setting requires a valid SSL certificate to be installed on your server. If you don’t have one, that would explain why Cloudflare says

If you want to install an SSL cert on your server, you can generate one in the Cloudflare dashboard and install it on your server.
