Scheduled - Over the past several months, Cloudflare has undertaken an overhaul of some of our critical configuration data systems to improve security and reliability. Each of these will result in a few minutes of intermittent availability for some of our APIs. None of these upgrades will impact the serving of traffic on the edge.
This page summarizes which APIs will have an elevated error rate during each of these upgrades. In all cases, we expect normal operations to resume after 3-5 minutes of intermittent errors, and any failed operations can be retried when service is restored.
Below is a list of the Impacted Cloudflare products and features. In each case you will find the API Impact described and confirmation of the parts of Cloudflare’s Edge that will continue to function as normal.
Viewing/Creation/Modification of Custom Pages - Already deployed Custom Pages will continue to function as normal across Cloudflare’s network
Viewing/Creation/Modification of Snippets - Already deployed Snippets will continue to execute as normal across Cloudflare’s network
Viewing/Creating/Modifying Cloudforce One Reports
Viewing the Observatory UI
The ability to enable/disable the Network Error Logging feature will be intermittently available - Cloudflare's Network Error Logging report collection endpoint and Last Mile Insights / analytics will function as normal
The abuse reporting form and API will be temporarily unavailable and processing of abuse reports may be delayed - No data will be lost and processing will resume as usual after the impact window
New VPN IP detections may be delayed resulting in delayed updates to the VPN IP managed list - The current list remains available and rules/policies using it are operating as expected
You can now subscribe to these notifications via Cloudflare dashboard and receive these updates directly via email, PagerDuty and webhooks (based on your plan):
