Inaccurate Time Travel Rollback in D1 Leading to Data Loss
What are the steps to reproduce the issue?
We recently attempted to roll back our database by 30 minutes, but encountered persistent issues. Both the CLI and UI methods resulted in error messages. We then incrementally tried to roll back by 1 hour, 2 hours, up to 8 hours, with each attempt also resulting in an error message.
Despite these error messages, we later discovered that the database had actually rolled back by 8 hours. This unexpected behavior caused a significant loss of user data, far exceeding our intended rollback of just 30 minutes.
The built-in backup functionality seems faulty, and there is no alternative method to export data from the database.
