I configured an Edge TTL of 1 year for some of our website content and 1 day for other content. If I execute a custom purge for the content with a 1-year TTL, it can take hours to refresh the content in some locations. If I execute a custom purge for the content with a 1-day TTL, it takes less than 1 minute to purge. So, does Edge TTL affect custom purge or not?

It does not. Looking into your setting, likely you’re confusing Edge Cache TTL with Browser Cache TTL.

Browser cache cannot be purged from the edge, it only purges itself when the TTL is reached or when the client browser manually deletes it.
